Ask for the old paths

\”Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.\”

Jeremiah 6:16 KJV

Stand, see, ask, walk, find.

This is life\’s progression.

Stand… or stop. Don\’t just carry on in confusion. Don\’t believe the lie of having your own truth. Why can you have your own truth and not ask a barber to deliver a pregnant woman\’s baby? Nature makes it clear that there are inbuilt rules in life; rules that cannot be broken without breaking yourself in the process. You can\’t have your own truth because it will be a lie. There is only one Truth.

Stand…so you can see and gain perspective. Since the world has been controlling you and people are teaching you their own foolishness, have you ever paused to think? Every error needs time and a clear mind. You have time. Think. The illusion of not having time will only complicate your life. Why should you get injured in life before you know you were deceived?

Stand in the ways. Obeying is courageous. Cowards disobey. Stand. Don\’t be quick to follow trends. Stand. The power of deception is only active where you refuse to stand, pause, and wait so that you can process the issues, count your costs and accept the consequences of your choice. 

Yes. Every choice has consequences. When you choose to stand. Others will immediately notice you because you are odd. You yourself will feel under pressure because of how foolish it looks to delay your decision. I have heard repeatedly that the mark of a vital person is the ability to make a decision quickly and if the need ever arises, to change it slowly. If you learn that, it is the spirit of the antichrist.

Jesus always told those who wanted to follow Him to count the cost. Stand. Think it over so you know you are not coerced into this new decision. God allows people to think so that once you choose the right Way, there will be no pressure intense enough to change it, even with the challenges you may face. Nothing can separate you from God\’s love in Christ Jesus.

If you have never thought about your actions, it is time to STOP. STAND. History is replete with consequences. Think about those who are dead and departed. How did they end? What were their decisions? This can be an eye-opener for you. Read about those who spoke against God, hated him etc and how they died. And then check those who knew and loved God and how they died. For the former, you will mostly see hopelessness and terror at death\’s threshold. And for the latter, you will mostly see joy and assurance. The difference is always clear. 

It is time to STAND, STOP, WAIT and THINK. This is when you are ready to SEE reality. 

Will you take a moment now, to reflect on your life? Ask yourself:

• \”Am I on the right way?\”
• \”Am I doing the right thing?\”
• What have I been sowing and what harvest should I be expecting?\”
• \”Am I living a lie?\”

Whatever your response is, it is time to see the True Way and walk in it. Call upon the LORD and He will answer you.
