Always Insist on God\’s Will

Last week, I mentioned the need to understand and accept the two opposites that give us a complete experience of life and are necessary for our growth and expansion. Yet, I was just wondering that it is common for human nature to make allowances for things, activities and occurrences that make life unbearably hard, simply because of a misunderstanding of the principle of opposites. Now, I will try to say this as clearly as I can: ALWAYS ACT IN FAITH, IN THE DIRECTION OF GOOD; AND NEVER EXPECT EVIL.

This must be your (super)natural way of life or else you may find yourself accommodating the devil. Can you imagine yourself having good enough theology to excuse the enemy\’s evil works in your life? That will be terrible. Your business is to think and expect God\’s mercies and goodness towards you everyday.

Jeremiah 29:11 \”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.\”

Psalm 68:19 \”Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.\”

It is your consistent way of seeing life that becomes your psychology and expectation; which will eventually produce your regular experience. The fact that certain unpleasant outcomes are determined does not make you to constantly live in the uncertainty of not knowing what will happen. This can be disastrous.

Like I said earlier, it allows the enemy to cheat you soundly, while appealing to your very accurate theology as a basis for his tricks/actions – actions that your faith could have dispelled. Remember that Scriptures call faith, the shield of faith, \”…wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.\” (Ephesians 6:16).

All the good thoughts and daily benefits that God has for us mostly materialize by a deliberate appropriation of faith. By faith, we are simply in agreement with God to fulfill His glorious plans in our day-to-day experience. By faith, we consistently exclude ourselves from whatever is NOT in God\’s agenda for our lives – no matter how the enemy appeals to God\’s Word, as a basis for his wickedness. By faith, we access the mind of God, and we use the classified information therein as a compass to chart our course, in every and any season of life.

It is this kind of revelation that makes you pause to ponder on prayer points you hear men raise, before you proceed to pray and get emotional with that unit of idea, that may be strange to Life and Godliness. Prayer must proceed from our innermost desires, foremost of which is the settled understanding of your placement in Christ and the subsequent superiority you have by this placement over the devil and all his works

Ephesians 2:6 \”And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:\”

1 John 5:4 \”For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.\”

Therefore, ignorance of God\’s will in the Scriptures is what gives the devil the authority (upper hand) and opportunity to toy with your experience of life and reality. You will be tossed to and fro with every wind of (false) teachings when you refuse to read the Scriptures for yourself and listen to those who do not seek to make you dependent on them. A simple faith in God\’s Word is more than enough to consistently deliver God\’s perfect will into your life.

Finally, let us recap in a slightly different way. \”You can\’t insist on something you don\’t know.\” And the problem with ignorance is whatever anyone tells you is OK, and you will likely go through the hassle to put your life through such a guesswork, when your life is not a dispensable experiment!?

So, knowledge gained in God\’s Word and applied is power; power to turn down any looming unfortunate event and power to receive all that pertains to life and godliness, that has been offered you. Once you know the Truth, you can no longer be a student of an ignorant man (or woman); and that Truth will certainly make you free (John 8:32).

2 Peter 1:3 \”According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:\”

Note: Unless otherwise stated, all Scripture quotations are from the King James Version.
